Bad Newz Box Office Collection :The film Bad Newz, featuring Vicky Kaushal, hit theaters on Friday and has kicked off its box office run with earnings of Rs 8.5 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This performance is noteworthy, especially when compared to the last film that outperformed it on opening day—Eid’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which earned Rs 16 crore initially but quickly lost momentum thereafter. Furthermore, the opening day revenue positions Bad Newz as the highest-grossing debut for Vicky Kaushal in his career. The previous record was held by Uri from 2019, which brought in Rs 8.2 crore on its first day and ultimately grossed over Rs 245 crore in India.
On its opening day, Bad Newz achieved an occupancy rate of only 22.83 percent, with the majority of viewers attending the evening screenings. In Mumbai, where 835 screenings took place, the occupancy was recorded at 20.75 percent. Meanwhile, in Delhi and the NCR region, occupancy reached 26 percent across 1,054 shows. Film distributors and exhibitors had high hopes for Bad Newz due to the impressive promotional efforts by the film’s team, which generated considerable anticipation.

Bad Newz is being compared to movies such as Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, both of which aimed at urban viewers. Crew debuted at the box office with earnings of Rs 10.28 crore and ultimately grossed Rs 89.92 crore, while Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya began its run with Rs 7.02 crore and finished with a total of Rs 80.88 crore.
