Kalki Day 2 Earnings :The film starring Deepika Padukone and Prabhas, Kalki 2898 AD, had a remarkable opening as the third biggest opener of all time. However, on its second day at the box office, the movie experienced a significant decline of almost 43% in its collection.

Nag Ashwin’s futuristic sci-fi masterpiece raked in 54 crore (net) at the Indian box office on its second day, Friday, as reported by Sacnilk data. This marked a 43.3% decline from the previous day’s domestic earnings of 95.3 crore on Thursday.

In the futuristic year of 2898, Kalki’s film raked in a whopping 54 crore in India, according to initial figures from Sacnilk. The movie had a stellar debut at the box office, bringing in an impressive 95.3 crore net on day one. The breakdown of the second-day box office earnings by language revealed collections of 25.64 crore in Telugu, 3.5 crore in Tamil, 22.5 crore in Hindi, 0.35 crore in Kannada, and 2 crore in Malayalam. This brought the total domestic box office revenue for the film to 149 crores over Thursday and Friday as per Sacnilk’s early estimates. Across two days, the film made a total of 91.45 crores in Telugu, 8 crores in Tamil, 45 crores in Hindi, and 0.65 crores in Kannada.

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the film starring the iconic Amitabh Bachchan garnered a Hindi Occupancy rate of 31.72%. It maintained its stronghold in Telugu cinemas with an impressive overall occupancy of 65.02% on the same day. Yesterday, the film also saw a significant Tamil Occupancy rate of 31.15%.

Nag Ashwin’s high-budget film, produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, combines Hindu mythology with futuristic elements. The movie is set in the future and was released on Thursday in six different languages: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.

Some of the notable actors in the film are Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Hassan. Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana have also made a mark with their acting in the movie.

In the portrayal of Ashwatthama, a character rooted in the Mahabharata era, Amitabh Bachchan showcased his timeless acting skills. Meanwhile, Kamal Hassan took on the role of the menacing antagonist Yaskin.
